May try to roll out with you guys. But "work" may preclude me from driving my 914. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) Is that a problem?

Rain? Who cares about rain....? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Bump!

See ya folks tomorrow. Dug has confirmed that he'll be there in his Spec Miata.

I'll print out some route sheets tonight, just so I have something to pass out tomorrow. (it's tradition!)

Very excited to come, and it looks like I'll be bringing Ernie King, the guy who owned/built the silver 3.6 Six (and later 3.8) I wrote my first "real" article about.

He's since fallen to the dark side (new Z06) but is excited to see some 914s and, particularly, Paul Sayegh's car. He is who introduced Paul and I and is thus the reason that series is running in the magazine.

He's remains a huge 914 nut, so maybe we can lure him back in the fold.

I'm also excited to see Mark's place (*how* long have I been talking about getting up there...?), seeing some 914s, and hanging with some interesting folks...

Just don't hate on me cuz I won't be driving a 914, a-iit?

Haven't got the 914 back on the road yet. If I make it it'll be to tag along on my motorcycle, or hitch a ride in a running 914...

I'll be leaving from SR (over here in Rincon Valley), so you're welcome to hitch a ride along with me. Sylvie's going to be in SmellA, so I'll have an open seat.

Hey Randy,

Thanks for the offer, I really do appreciate it.
I think I've got to miss this one though. Just too much to get done before the end of the year, and not enough time.

Have fun!

Totally understand! It's just hectic in general for most everyone right now.

Call or write some time and we'll meet you downtown for a beer.

I'll be leaving El Cerrito at 9:30 and heading east 80, 37, 29 etc. If anybody wants to caravan or get a ride in a scratched-up, bare bones black 914 with no heat or wipers, send me a PM (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

It looks like I'm not going to make this one after all. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I need to travel down south for the auto cross at El Toro. See you all at the next one.
Cheers, Elliot

Here's the final route map. Pretty much the same as the earlier route I posted, but the start and destination points are now correct.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&...p;z=11&om=1

I'll bring some printouts tomorrow as well.

See you then!

Sunny here too, and 10* warmer today than it was this time last week.

We'll leave here in about 1/2 hour. Don't leave without us. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
