QUOTE(majkos @ Mar 17 2004, 09:03 AM) mseiferth? What happened to the original fiberglass front? Was it a Imsa type?(I don't really know what's it called) Eddie answered your question in the post below your original... |

QUOTE(SirAndy @ Mar 18 2004, 12:34 PM) exactly what i have been thinking about. not rubber, but FG instead. i'm planning on getting a donor FG front spoiler with a nice lower lip and cut that off and attach it to the bottom of the 916 bumper. it'll even have room for brake cooling intakes ... Andy, because this car will see dual duty (street/track) we think the rubber will survive longer than a fiberglass lip... Any idea where we can find such rubber?? IIRC some of the '80's mopars used it and maybe even some Mitsu's from that era. |

Why not use Dzus fastners on the bumper as well?
That way you can swap the 916 and IMSA bumpers for street or track duty Otherwise, the rubber lip/spoiler from an impact bumper 911 might work cheers, Jeroen |

Hey Vintageporscheguy. (Bro)
Nice blurry pic. and isn't that an OLD one? Glad to see you finally made it on here. I thought you said you couldn't log in? Glad you worked through that. You really should POST a few pics of your hood vent (and also your through the hood gas cap) they are both trick. You should also get done with that car.... Johnman |

Thanks for posting the pic Geoff (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif) It was a pleasure to meet you and to drive your car. Those streets are spooky weird! The difference was night and day with that other MPS as I got on to I5. Again, thanks alot and I look forward to seeing you and other 914 types next week (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) . Here's my 914. It has a high compression 3.2, 930s all the way around, coil overs, front mount oil cooler, full cage, etc, etc. The first picture is the car before I repainted this past year (and rebuilt the engine).

Btw, that's a remote camera mount where the turn signal would normally be. It's really cool for track use.
