It seems that most of the Finnish 914 guys are here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Btw those BBS wheels are originally from Timo then I bought them and now they are in Jappe's car, i think that's quite funny?!

Still, I don't think I could drive around with a sticker that says

"Ass-Trol" - It means too much here in the states, I guess the California guys will like it though...

ematulac - a couple questions about your fine-looking car...

Its a 74 but has 75-76 bumpers? Were they updated or are they original?

Out of curiosity, what is your VIN?

I purchased the car from a woman who didn't have a whole lot of information on the car. The car was registered as a '74, and I just assumed that the bumpers had been upgraded when the slant nose conversion was done.

The VIN is 4742918391.

It's a nice Friday afternoon so I took my car a couple miles away from the house for a few pictures. I bought it two years ago - it was a real POS - and I totally rebuilt it with a V8 conversion. I sold my first 914 in 1989 and always wanted to have another one when I had a little more time, more money, and a bigger garage. So I bought a rusted, collision-damaged blue 74 fairly-cheap, and here's what it looks like now:
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i216.photobucket.com-2923-1359066084.1.jpg)
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i216.photobucket.com-2923-1359066085.2.jpg)

It's a great car to drive. There are still things left to do, like installing the A/C and heater, but I like driving it so much now it's hard to do work on it.

Edit: updated links to old photos on 1/24/13
