The engine currently does not have an oil cooler it has the C-2 filter, I have a fron toil cooler that was made from a 944 turbo intercooler. The ends where cut off and welded the fittings to wotk with the oil lines. The fit is very tight but it really works well.
I plan to reinstall the engine cooler when I find the time. I am working on installing a hydrulic hand brake, as used in the vintaged rally cars. Attached image(s) |

Here he is ! Picture was taken after an orientation rallye in november.
During the rallye the day counter stopped working, the brakes locked up, we didn't have enough light (H-1's), the high beam only went on when it really wanted and when it was on I couldn't get to low beam ! We finally ended the rallye after being stuck on his belly for 45 minutes on one of our "tractor trails" in the middle of nowhere. After all ... a great day with the 914 ! By the way it's a 1975 2.0 Carburated coming from the U.S.A. @Quilmes: that red 914 has the greatest paint job I've ever seen ! Did you do that yourself ? Attached image(s) |

It's an ex Rhode Island car, must've seen some saltly roads.
Yes it will be saved 914-6's are rare over here. They were never sold here so their all imports mainly from USA. It was last rego'd in 1982 so it has been sitting a long time, but hopefully the mechanicals haven't done much hard work. Here's a scarey pic RUST (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool.gif) Attached image(s) |
