Here is my 73' 2.0. It has dual Webber idf's and some minor issues to work through. But I am quite happy with this one (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif)

Great color Merrill! Is that a Porsche tool kit? What kind of front spoiler is that?

Damn Dion (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) That is one nice car. Marathon Blue. I don't know about the tool kit (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) Maybe one of the guru's can shed some light. I will need to start filling that bag as well. The air dam I believe is a flex damn?

I figure it's time I show some pics. This is about how it looked when i first converted it. I'm getting ready for paint.

(IMG:http://www.pelicanparts.com/MotorCity/smrz918/o6.jpg)

This is some time later after a little work. Paint is done, FG rear flares, wheels, tires.

(IMG:http://www.pelicanparts.com/MotorCity/smrz918/blackSideView.jpg)

And this is the same car now. New paint. I always wanted a silver 914.

(IMG:http://www.pelicanparts.com/MotorCity/smrz9148/silverSideView.jpg)

Then I got a good deal on another 914 that I couldn't pass up. I like the polka dots.

More pics on my website. Link at bottom of page.

Here's an update of my sweet Bahia Red 914 (now) 6. Carbon fiber front bumper, hood, rear bumper and hood. Wing removes with 4 nuts for street use. As before, 3.2 l mildly tweaked; twin turbo brakes F & R; full roll cage, 9x17" wheels, 245x17" tires F, 10x17" wheels, 285x17" R ("street"); 9 & 10x18" for track (had to drive to Lime Rock, so street tires in picture); Boxster S transmission.

Street legal and a blast on the track. I bought new in 1971. No rust (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/clap.gif)

Great car! Wonderful new, even better now!

Nice ride ABC, Id add some cross bracing to your wing uprights.. some small dia cable and stainless turnbuckles work well

The Car looks sweet ABC. It might look like it is sitting kinda high because of that part of the track. At lime Rock you can get two wheels of the ground on the back part of the course...going straight.

Yes, it does look a little high, but probably for two reasons - I normally run "track" tires (P Zero C) on 18" rims, but I had to drive on street rubber for this event (BFG KDW). Second, I don't trailer, so I can't make it too low or the oil cooler becomes an oil drain. Not good. It's hard to see from the picture, but the front dam has a splitter, so I do have to be careful.

I agree about the cross struts to stiffen the wing supports. I got the car back from the shop on Tuesday and drove to Lime Rock on Wednesday, so no time to shakedown.

Fenders were done by Carradini Auto Rebuilders in Rockaway, NJ. (973) 627-7717, ask for Billy. Great job, solid, no cracks. All steel. He cuts off the fender edge, add "pizza slices" of steel to extend the fender, then welds the edge back on to make it look like factory. The shape removes some of the boxiness from the 914. Almost looks voluptuous now. I love it! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif)
