red neon lighting. its in the rain tray/ just under the grill.
look good? or does it look cheap? btw its one of those things taht looks a ton better in person. **EDIT** forgot to mention. the cam had the contrast set tooooo high. so it seems like the light bar is completly visible. this is not the case. from almost any angle (other than right above) you cannot see the acutall bar, only its light given off. it has a nice glow effect under the PORSCHE logo. I'm guessing you're right and the picture doesn't do it justice - maybe you should try for a new picture. I can see where it would look pretty cool. |

When the (3rd) brake light goes off, is it too bright in the rear-view mirror? It looks like it's reflecting pretty brightly on the rear glass. Does it need a 'backing' so the light only projects behind the car?

the neon tube has a reflective backing on it already, and really at night, i cannot tell if its on or not. (btw its not a brake light{yet, but thats a really good idea! thanks!}) ill try and get some better pics tommorrow, maybe a motion picture or just adjust the contrast. ive gotten nothing but "oh cool's" and "wow tahts B-A"'s so far about it. just wanted some "professionals" opinions.

It's not about how good they look now, it's about what we can do with them, and how much we enjoy them even if they aren't the runway models !

Hi everyone,
We are from the Bothell/Kirkland (Juanita) area of Washington. Car is a '73 1.7, and we have owned it for a couple of months now. We have had some preliminary dialogue with the Eurotech folks, as the car needs the transmission rebuilt and some general stuff tuned-up. My dad and I are standing on the right side (we are probably the two you will hear from the most), and my younger brother and my mom on the left. And the dog. Here's a picture of the front with everyone crammed in the car. Whoa -- four people in a 914? And I always thought the center pad "third seat" was strictly a joke... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
