QUOTE(euro911 @ Dec 3 2006, 01:03 AM) *

My wife just bought this '75 2.0 liter for me for my Christmas gift this year. It needs a little work, but not a whole lot.

Came with 40mm Webers, Empis and flat-pack quiet muffler. It looks older with the earlier style bumpers.

Engine was rebuilt 2,500 miles ago and it runs strong ... we'll love taking it up & down the CA coast on weekend outings.

I love my 911's and my 912's , but this thing is really cool to drive! I hadn't driven a 914 since early 1973 ...

Dude mark. your old man. sorry. but before 2006, 1973 was the last time you drove a 914? ouch that sux. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)

I'd be interested in how the lambo kit worked out as well, I think that would be a pretty cool addition to the car! Oh yeah, I gotta get the dang thing back up an running first but there is always the future mods!

Obtaining spousal approval is like winning half the battle (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

My wife has become a lot more supportive since I bought her her own 914. She's talking about having the interior reupholstered in the near future, and she's bugging me less and less about all the cars and parts I've got stashed around here. Geez, I should have done this years ago (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

She just recently offered to buy me a 4-post hydraulic lift so I can get more cars back on the road (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/drunk.gif) Nice. My wife just wants me to get the '70 S finished so she can drive it. She really likes the fact I race and work on cars. If you guys are single just remember that if they give you crap about your cars now they always will. If they like your cars now they will be supportive of your adiction.... at least somewhat.
