Here are some pics of a 73 2.0 that I got from a dealer out in California. This will be my first attempt at posting pictures on a forum so this may require a little understanding.

For those that have never seen a yellow 914 before... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
Here's the original dealer web posting: http://www.californiaclassix.com/archive/7...e_914_c502.html Needless to say the car is huge fun to drive and I can't wait to take it up to Hershey this April and visit with all the folks at the meet. See you there, John |

Great looking car--I remember the ad. Most importantly: It looks like you got rid of that horrid rear spoiler! Put a stock 2.0 muffler, metal front valence, and orig radio in it, and you have perfection. |

I thought I would post some pics of my small block chevy powered 914 that I just finished. I never realized how much fun a SBC 914 would be to drive!

I'm new to this website as I do most of my surfing on the samba, but I own 2 914's. Both are 1974's, one has flared fenders and a 2.7 six with triple webers and a five lug conversion and the other one is pretty much stock. Ironically, the grey one was originally the same color as the green one and they are only a few thousand numbers off on production, here they are....

Welp, thought i would show off my first 914. It's a 1973 1.7. Got it for $900. Hope i didn't get ripped off! At $900, it's a beauty! How's the rust situation? How's it run/shift? FI or carbs? I'd put a nice orig front valence on, and refinish the alloys. White and original for a 73 looks great. |

Longitudes are good, floor has very little surface rust, hell hole is good. Only place i found that is of concern is the pass inner door jamb in front. hole about size of a quarter. Both front and rear trunks are good. Motor is bad. I've pulled the motor/tranny and started on rebuild. It's FI but i'm going to switch it over to webbers. PO said the computer was bad. Unfortunately i think i'm going to sell it. Too many projects and this is the most expensive one. Only real thing bad on this car is that it needs is interior. It has door panels, but needs carpet and seats. Wanna buy it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) |
