just bought a 914/4 1972.
It was rust welded and primed 22 yeras ago and has been resting (indoors) since then...
(IMG:http://www.lsmteknik.se/images/914_2.jpg)

the trunks full of details...
(IMG:http://www.lsmteknik.se/images/914_3.jpg)

every detail in its own plastic bag..
(IMG:http://www.lsmteknik.se/images/914_4a.jpg)

every bag labellet with its content...
(IMG:http://www.lsmteknik.se/images/914_4b.jpg)

new discks, bearings, shocks and brake tubes all around...
(IMG:http://www.lsmteknik.se/images/914_5.jpg)

underside...

boot...

...all this was made 22years ago by the previous owner, thanks Hans!!!

I'm slowly getting through every square inch of this thing. It only has 45K miles on it (I think). It's a "73 1.7. I hope you like it.

'73 2.0L Alaskan Blue. Purchased from owner since '74.

He claims that this car was a "Pace Car" from the Indianapolis 500.

(still waiting for the photos. I am guessing Safety Car or something, but still cool if true).

Anyone heard of P-cars as Pace vehicles?

John

I use to have a 74 just like that but not as nice...

Thanks folks. Here's another shot. It spent most of its life in a barn in PA. It drives really nice, except right now I'm replacing the throttle body switch.

Hello, this is my project. 1971 signal orange 1,7l. It's been restored -85 but does not match my standards. So I have to restore it again.

Here are some pics from project. http://harrasteet.1g.fi/kuvat/OmaPossu/

A really nice 914
I don't see anything wrong with it unless you want a CW
Just get in it, drive it, and enjoy it.
Better that way than sitting in a shop.

I remember you! I had the white six conversion that won best in show that year.

Please don't make that a electric, it's to nice, just my opinion, but I really like car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Hey! I do remember your perfect white 6. It was the envy of many. I am thinking about building one from scratch for the electric. I have seen a couple forsale on ebay converted. The body and interior would need to be done. I am not convinced the electric will provide good enough technology to last more than a couple years. I have heard the vbatteries will cost 2500.00 to replace.

Hope to see you at the next west coast event, if there is one....

Here is my effort. It is a work in progress and I always during the Summer try to keep it drivable as much as possible. I have redone almost all the interior and will start on the front end this Winter.

Anyway here is the car on my favorite road. Glendora Mountain Road.

I remember when this car was for sale (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) I just didn't have the 30K (or even enough to try and make a deal)... I wanted to go lust after it in person, but refrained, as I would have unfortunately been just a tire kicker.
Agreed, one of the nicest 914's I have ever seen!!! Congrats to the new owner... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

'74 Bumble Bee

Notice the rear wheel is not quite right - rear console was rusted out.
