that interior color complaments the copper well. i agree the copper roof looks best (along with the rockers and valances) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) ... should have been done that way from the factory IMO

Looks great, Jim. I agree with the copper top and 16s . . . polished spokes (like mine), though!

Just got her back from the body shop today. And now back on the rotisserie. Paint is subaru rally race blue. I will start off by putting on the suspension and get the chassis rolling, then I was thinking about installing a new wiring harness from http://bowlsby.net/914/WiringHarnesses/

Has anyone dealt with this company, and if so how are they?

Is there any other options for refurbished or brand new harnesses?

Many, many people on this this have dealt with Jeff Bowlsby. He is a regular here on this board, a wealth of knowledge and the guy you want to get your harness from.

Your car is looking great!

"THE QUICK SIX" as it has been known since before 1978 when I 1st saw it, was
ordered by Mahag Motors as one of 3 GTs and was then kept. It was then sent to Glocker's shop for custom work and paint. There is a picture of it at his shop. This was to be Mahag's chairman's toy. In 1971 it was put up for sale(see my avatar) and sold, I have the paperwork. It next showed up at the Porsche dealer in Monterey. It was sold to a Dr Taves from Reno who raced it for some years. It then was put on a Porsche dealers lot in LA on consignment, where Ron & Barbara Webb purchased it. They drove it and raced it in PCA and POC for many years. After Rons death it sat for a couple of years and then Barbara offered it to me. Ron,Barb & I had towed and raced together formany of years. Barb recently passed away and I just got back from her funeral.
In the 70s it was frequently a TTOD winner. Recently it took 1st place in Z8s autocross, timetrial and concourse series all at the same time. It set a V4 POC class record at Vegas International Raceway in 2008. So it is not "just a Pritty face"
From when I first drove it on the Airodrom in Vegas in 1979 ,I never could talk my self into setteling for "just" a 914/6.
As it was Ron & Barbs before me, it is now my baby, to keep shined and original right down to its 8 track radio/tape deck (tires and wheels come and go). If I act overly proud of it please forgive me. I just cant help it. Greg Fullmer

Had it 11 months. All kinds of small problems with electrical and fuel. No rust!

My 6th in 37 years. Always a 73 2.0

Bought last year from another member, and just decided to replace a ton of stuff, and with that, hey, it's a 914! All kinds of small things to redo.
