Hello;
I am a new forum member... But a long time 914 owner. I have owned this 74' 1.8 since the fall of 1984. We took these pictures yesterday near Starved Rock Park in Northern Illinois. There will probably be fewer and fewer nice days like this, this year.. My 914 is far from perfect, but is mostly original and still a ball to drive. My wife Lisa is a sweetheart too! thanx Chris |

My name is Ty, and I'm located down in San Diego County. I picked up a 1974 Porsche 914 2.0 in May 2014; it's a driver, but it has numerous issues. The car came with A/C, but most of the parts are missing; this was an original So Cal 1-family car. This will be my project for the next several years; the plan is to convert it to a -6 in a few years. Currently I'm upgrading the brake system and converting to 5-lug. Overall, this is the 3rd 914 that I have owed, hopefully I'll hang onto this one longer than the previous two.

I haven't checked into this thread in a long time. Just caught up on a years' worth of pics. Great stuff! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)
So here's one of mine as she bides her time (don't worry, oily cardboard is left over from power steering fluid from the 968 before I sold it) - a little dusty though: |

Hi everybody!
this is my first post on the forum: I write from Italy where I was born (near Milan) 46 years ago. I owned lots of classic cars during my life: 1969 Fiat 124 spider, 1968 Ford Mustang, 1965 MGB, 1958 Chrysler New Yorker, 1971 Corvette... Now I have a 1966 Chrysler Newport 383 convertible almost finished (I started a long term restoration on 2007) Let me introduce you my 1975 914 2.0 recently purchased here in Italy. She's from Sicily and the sweet and dry southern weather kept her in a splendid shape. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/www.pdani.it-18041-1414065485.1.JPG) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/www.pdani.it-18041-1414065486.2.JPG) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/www.pdani.it-18041-1414065488.3.JPG) Well mantained and stored she's been resprayed only once by a Porsche professional restorer in Alessandria, Piedmont. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/www.pdani.it-18041-1414065490.4.JPG) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/www.pdani.it-18041-1414065492.5.JPG) Original Zambezi green - Sambesigruen with a rare white interior / corduroy cloth. Some pics are over-exposed so I apologise for the inconvenience. I'll try to take better pictures in the future! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/www.pdani.it-18041-1414065493.6.JPG) She's got the original paper sticker in the door jamb: (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/www.pdani.it-18041-1414065495.7.JPG) Recently, I changed the U.S. tail lights with the correct european ones: car has always been in Italy since new, so don't know why she get those "american" lens...
