The car is gorgeous especially the coler. I think you should paint the top as well. The black does not go especially with those rims. Just my 2 cents.

My 1973 914- been in the family since 1975. I had to wait for 2 people to die before it became mine. That sounds worse than it is! It was my FIL's then he died - left it to my SIL (she died and that was sad) then I inherited it. My FIL said no way could my husband have it. He wrecked it in 1975 and my FIL said he could never drive it again.Attached Image

Here's my 76 2.0. The car was originally yellow, painted black 2 owners ago. Engine was built by Ed Mayo at Mayo Performance in Elusses (Dallas) Texas and was targeted for autocross, so lots of low end torque. The car came to the owner before me with fiberglass bumpers so he sourced new chrome backdate bumpers and fog lamps. Car has real 4 lug fuchs, front 13mm through the body sway bar, and retains the D-Jet EFI with some customization to the throttle body to help it flow better (or so I was told anyway).

Anyhow, it runs great and is very fun to drive. I put the stripe on the side from 914 Rubber and have rebuilt the front brakes with all new parts from PMB (thanks Eric). Oil leaks to chase and other stuff, but tons of fun and very reliable so far.

Jim, i am running the same, but due to being so close with thise on the rear 7" rims i may try 195 or just stay with 205 and put the other set of 6" in rear not the 7".

btw my car is in primer all around, being sanded and prepped for paint soon!
