Here's mine! '74 1.8L (rebuilt as a 2375) with A/C. It's a bit of a "sleeper".

My son gave me a professional photo shoot for my recent birthday. Here are just 3 of the results! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

Hey, hey! The third photo (cropped) was used as the cover photo for the latest issue of Northern New Jersey PorscheForUs magazine. Destined for the garage wall!

Here are a couple photos from this summer. My car is the 924, still on the hunt for a 914. My buddies car pushed me over the edge to get one again.

This is from the PCA Maverick Region front page on the internet.

The blue 914 on the left is Elwood, our factory six. The red 914 on the right is my 4.0L six conversion.

The 911 in the middle belongs to Ed Mayo. It's a concours winning 72 911S. It is immaculate. We are in good company.

My dad and I were into 914's back in the 90's. Mine a Delphi Green 73 2.0 and his a Black 74 2.0. We went to a few 914 OA events and loved hanging out together with our cars.
As the 90's came to a close, my wife and I had our daughter and family life took over. I sold my car to a gentlemen in Belgium. Dad sold his car to someone in So Cal and we lost track of the cars and moved on with our lives.
In 2015 I stumbled upon my Dad's car being featured in a detailers video. My dad was able to track down the owner because of this. Unfortunately, the owner was not interested in selling the car back.
My dad kept in contact with the gentlemen over the years through email and life went on.
This summer the owner contacted dad and said he was ready to sell. Dad had recently purchased a newer Boxster and didn't have the room. I had just sold a truck and camper and had room to spare so I bought the car.
After all these years, it's back in the family....

...I still think of it as Pop's 914 so I got the license plate.
For you folks that have been in the 914 scene for a while, you might remember the car featured in January 2000 issue of European Car.
I also went out and picked up another 914 I will build up on my own again. I am looking for parts and will post up WTB in the classifieds.
I know the car is on a trailer backwards and that will draw the ire of many, but the car made the 2 hour drive in 110* home with no problems.
it is a one owner 74 2.0 off the road since 1990.

What a great story thanks for sharing. Nice that you could bring it back to the family. I assume you both have been driving it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Love it. It's the same color as the new 914-4 my wife and I bought in 1970. Here's the 6 we bought for our 50th anniversary: https://vimeo.com/701078296/5823468817
