why might this be the last one?

k

I picked up so many parts last year, and gave away a bunch too...would hate to see this event go away. I had to laugh last year...everyone was buying/trading trading their pile of rusty parts and walking away with smiles on thier faces.

I'm low on extra parts right now, but hey that's a month away (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

The end of the 914 swap meets?! Nah, I don't think I could let that happen. If Grumpy is tired of hosting, we'll find somewhere else, maybe. In his defense, I gotta admit I'm a little tired too though and have since shifted to the dark side; just ask me about my 911's! I'll always be a 914 lover at heart though and hope to be able to add a 914-6 (again) to my garage someday once the kids are out of the house and I have money again. Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to 4/27 and cooking up some grub for everyone.

Can anyone remember when the very 1st swap was at PIP Printing in San Bernardino? It was brought to my attention that this may be our 10 year anniversary!

Hey everyone...while you're digging for parts for the rustmeet, could someone snag this bracket off one of their rollers for me. I know, hardly worth the trouble..but I would appreciate it.

Also looking for a real nice set of retractable seat belts (stock) with good chrome etc....you know, the ones you pulled off your car 34 years ago and left in a dark closet box... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) Anyway, I have several sets of 35 years seat belts, I don't need another.
Thanks

Oh yeah...I have a bunch of parts of coming for everyone, including three engines, seats, bumpers, valances. Still have a running 1.8 motor you can have for $175...just let me know, I'll bring it. It's on ebay right now.

I'll look in the "recycle bin" as there are 4 cut up cars in there. The others I have are both '76s ... no bracket.

Bruce...thanks for bringing the 2tr tin. You were going to bring a banana muffler for me to look at....a friend sold a pair of them to me, so not to sure if I need a third...I'm collecting them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)

Anyone....I bought a set of banana mufflers in Palmdale. If anyone is going near there would you be interested in picking them up and bringing them to the swapmeet??? They are already paid for. The PO said he would even meet you part way if you are fairly close.

All three will attend this year .... Professor 914, Slits and Ron ..... look for the fight!

I have it on good authority that the Professor will be giving guided tours of his many rust free 914s ... you know, the ones from Automobile California in the dumpster that require some assembly. It is truly a highlight of the event.

Ron & The Professor plan on putting Mydol in Slits coffee to improve his attitude. Ssssssssssssshhh ... he's not supposed to know.

Ron, well, he'll just sit in the corner and oggle boobies ...............

You mean Automobile Riverslime? Is there a lost kinda, sorta type of warehouse out there anywhere we could have a guided tour of? Maybe the warehouse you lost your virginity in to all those loading dock workers?

Will the pretty well dressed Z show up or the ugly, rabbit eared, Hawaiian shirt, calloused feet Z?

Still need tranny transport. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Slits does not answer anyone who does not reply to PM(S).

Geraldo The Gay will be on hand for the opening of the lost warehouse.

Telly Savalas will be the honored guest in opening of Dr. Ferrys' safe recovered from the wreck of U238.

Should be perfect... just add Salt Lake City to your route and hit re-calculate! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I actually have some family there. If I had some more time I would make the side trip. Going to be in a bit of a rush as I have to be back for work on Tuesday.

I jacked up the right side of my car and the drivers door came open and smacked against the wall. Guess what broke?... I need a drivers side exterior door handle. It doesn't even have to be shiny. Just so it works.
Cheers, Elliot
