I had help today! Even though my youngest cannot make it to RRC, she still helped me wash the '73.

Well, this seems to be my thread.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/type.gif)

Well I just need to pack up some clothes, buy a quart of oil and head out. Sounds like the Start Relay is outta stock, so the 2.0 will have to take breaks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I also have to call and finalize Saturday mornings (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif) Head count will be??????

there are still some people on the fence.
so lets go with the paid head count
(and hope that one or two of the unpaid people still show)

regarding the relay
go to any flaps in town there
ask for the "ford starter relay"

it doesn't look as nice as Eric's kit, and it won't come with all of the connections pre-wired like his. But it works fine. and you can sheet-metal screw it to the back of the engine tinwork, right above the starter

its fairly simple to wire and has about 4 poles on it
you transfer the yellow starter wire onto it, and then the starter power onto it. Then the output of each of those goes back to the starter

probably 18beans, and 30minutes work.

The relay itself has to be grounded hmm? Will the other silver bullet be up and running by RRC?

There's undercoating or paint on the body that can keep you from having a good ground.BTDT

I've only one Silver 914.
The other is sold, should update my profile,ay? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Oh I see....but the "other" was in reference to Val's '73. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Hopefully I will find the time to do it today. Put in a 22 hour day at work....time for a nap.
