HOF, welcome to the madness... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I'm the one that was in Vegas for BJ. I checked out the car the previous day and talked about it to several people. I also met the previous owner and showed him a couple of discrepancies, before I knew he was the owner. As I said in this post prior, I think you got a fair deal on the car. If you check my signature, you'll see my website, it might help you in the future.

Again, welcome to the club and I hope you enjoy your car...

I agree it's too cold to worry about 914 activity in the cold mid-west Great Lakes Region. You found a real nice 914 & hope you enjoy this site.

BTW: I travel on business to Canton OH & would be glad to help when in the area. There are a lot of us in the Great Lakes area.

Is this the point where we attack his car? Or do we wait a while longer since he is a new member?

Hi Paul,
Your right I owe you a visit. I am on my way to Alpena in the morning then Hillman, Grayling, McBain on business & finally to check our Petoskey summer place for winter issues. Lots of snow is forcast so I hope to make it home Thursday evening. Hey, I might have to call you to pull me out of a snowbank. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Winter in Northern MI is a snow bitch. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

That steering wheel will offer more leg room but less view of your guages.
I prefer the smaller wheel, and am jelous of your true OEM black paint.
My '72 is a wanna-be black 914, originally silver.
DO NOT try autocross racing with PCA, you will end up stripping the car, spendning all your money on race parts, and being addicted to swerving through cones in second gear.

Door panels come up on eBay from time to time. Or post a "WTB" (want to buy) here.

I agree. You can get nice door panels and carpet from morph (board member). Be sure to tell him you're a member of this board as it'll give you a discount. Here's a link to his website....

http://914ap.com/products.php

By the way, welcome to the board from another Northern Ohio teener! I'm in Lorain, OH about an hour away. A little secret, I may be putting together a 914 cookout around the first week in June. Keep an eye on the board as I'll post it here.
