T.C Looks good, the prep work to the body seems to take so long but it will be worth all the trouble when its done. How did you make out with (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif) the slots and (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) the piston mounts? Ben.

I've joked around with the Local Guys about all the excuses the shop that is working on my car has used that it is not done and even Blew Up on them about it.
Well I found out today that Gary had a Heart Attack working on my car yesterday. He will be OK. I talked to him in the hospital today. But he will have to cut out the Krispy Kream Donuts, etc. I was expecting the car back soon, but this is an excuse I can live with ( Hopefully Gary too). My engine guy has also had a Heart Attack working on my motor. Am I a Jinx? T.C. |

If it ever gets done, I'm not riding in it. I got a family to think about. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Am I a Jinx? T.C. No......but your car is. I suggest you give it to me to avoid a heart attack. Let me know once you have it finished. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Bummer - I hope he's OK.
Not to be too gloomy, but be sure you're covered in case he doesn't make it after all, so you don't get tangled up in a hellish mess of liens or asset freezes or whatnot. |

Chris, it will be OK as his son is his partner in the business. In fact, I think he owes me money. Gary is doing better

Are you bribing these guys with lard sandwiches?. Hope they recover quickly and completely, can't wait to see the finished product, however the fun for me an amatuer, is watching the progress. Best of luck

My engine guy has also had a Heart Attack working on my motor. Am I a Jinx? T.C. Well Gary is recovering nicely and is back at work. He doesn't have his stamina yet and he has to watch the Heat and how long he is at the shop. I stayed in touch with Gary & his son Jason every week. Unfortunately Jason didn't touch my car in the last month because, "it's Dads job" I'm glad Gary's feeling better, so I can go back to busting his ass to get my car done. T.C. |

In defense of Jason, the shop is kinda divided in 2. Gary likes Porsches and Jason is an expert on 60's VW Buses. In the last few years, the Porsche & racecar side has been down, while it seems the Bus business is pretty good. They do help each other and I would rather have Gary working on the car.

Finally work has resumed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) . Gary is feeling better, but I would guess that our Uber Hot Florida Summer limits him.
I had sent him an Angry, but Courteous eMail a week and 1/2 ago. I didn't want to drive 200 Miles to blow-up on him again. He didn't need another Heart Attack & I don't need my 1st. He took it the right way and realized if it was his car, he would want it done too. I was hoping for a Shrink-Coat of Orange on it, but at least some work has been done. Here are the Brass Oil-lines fitted & the front hole cut. T.C. |

QUOTE Here are the Brass Oil-lines fitted & the front hole cut. I have a feeling I should have done that before painting. I have all the cuts made but... just did everything from GT pictures. Fingers crossed. |

Are you going to use a back pad? if not grind off the tab slots now! and set up the seat belt loops at the same time. Take it from me its a pain in the A$$ to do it after the paint is on. Badm. |
