I don't think so, even though he knows of the Site - He has some other Cool Cars.

I've been out there ( in the 80's Attached Image) & visited every Island , but don't which is which (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

The car will be completed in the Western US before it goes Aloha

I haven't talked to the Buyer in a while, so I don't know what he has done. I know that he was going the race car route.

Ha Ha I told you my IMSA car would be done first. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Now if I could just find that motivation that I left somewhere near the beer fridge...

Not sure of Full GT Upgrades? It had most everything
X-Top is Cool
He didn't want my Cage (V-Brace)
Needed Belt attachments - it came with REPA Belts
Came with A-Pillar pieces
Came with the Mechanical Headlight raiser - Mikey & I bought a few from Mittle before the Group Buy
the Car ( like most -6s, didn't have Sway Bars & I was going to do something different)
I didn't have the nerve to cut the access hole ( even though I've done it a bunch of times)
Relay Board relocating pieces were there
Chassis Tweeks? It had Chassis reinforcement (Factory, Tangerine & Engman), New Bilsteins, Mono-Balls, Spherical Bearings, Big Springs & New bigger Torsion Bars.

Must be putting much bigger wheels & Tires

Straighten out Body Work & Repaint? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) Oh well, everyone has to make their car their own.

The Buyer seemed like a Cool Guy & had Deep Pockets.

TC, Remeber GT's are kinda a crap shoot, some had it all most didnt, just reporting whats been welded onto a freshly painted tub, I forgot they beefed up the motor mount too.

Tweeks, I meant it needed some mechanical force to square it up.

Tires and wheels will be here soon , I was told by the body shop.

Ill take some pics next time.

If he's going the race car route and taking the car to Hawaii how is that going to work out? Do they have a track out there or is the car going to be staying on the west coast?

Chad, while the new Owner lives in Hawaii ( & not on the Big Island), it was my understanding that he was going to keep the car in California with some of his other cars.

I'm new to this site. I thinking of purchasing a 71 looks stock from a private
dealership. Looks like a bottle of nos between the seats. I read one comment that the 1971 914 is nothing more than a VW that robs the Porsche name only! Not good news. However I love the looks of the car. I like to drop a 6 cylinder in her (Porsche only) but I don't know which motor would be good without major modification in drive-train? What do you recommend? Who do you recommend as far as where to buy such a motor?
