The van tries to pull nicely. It acts like a set of trigger points going out. Under load it bucks lightly like it is trying. Right now it just DIES when it sees any kind of grade. It drops speed like I pulled a parachute. The tranny has very firm upshifts from 1-2 and 3-4. It actually hits 4th pretty hard.

Brad,
I have had low power problems with FI cars when the fuel filter was clogged/old. They are cheap and might help after the cat has been changed. Just a thought. George |

The arrival of the van may be kinda emotional.
We all might need a Costco box of kleenexes, JP. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Picked it up from the muffler shop.. runs a little better, but not much. I still think the cam timing is off even though it shows no codes. Everything I read says that if the timing is off it will throw a code.. but nada.

Brad JP decided to postpone until next weekend, He figured that would give you more time to get the van done.
See you next weekend. CCL (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Head north and call when you get close or near Salem. 503-799-5794 |

I wish I could see the van drive off on its way to its final destination. Since I cannot, I will drink a beer in honor of the "Van" saga, in honor of all those who put money towards the purchase, in honor of Brad Roberts for putting his time and efforts in, and in honor of Dave and his family who will finally be able to take advantage of the mobility (aka, dragging Dave's heavy ass wheel chair!)
Cheers all (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) |
