I was surprised to see the box show up at my business today because I had instructed AA to hold it and send it with other things I would be needing (DR914, smack someone in the head!) I was please to see it anyways as its just another reason to get my car painted.

Last night I got the word that the paint booth I want to use may be open this weekend. It is something like 5 times the size of my booth and I can spread out all the parts and the car in it. Wednesday night I will get the word if I get to use it.

Also, one of my business neighbors lost funding for his hydroplane boat and is in-between projects. That's a funny job anyways, supporting a hobby for a rich guy. Your job security is tied to their wimes. This fellow has more skills than I'll ever imagine having. He's agreed to help me make a set of rockers out of metal that match the profile of my flares. If I don't paint on Saturday, I'll be working with him on that project.

Any suggestions on the metal rockers are welcome.

Would you believe I sold one off my 73 that looked that good for $40 about 8 years ago! I had no idea what they were worth at the time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Oh well, someone got a smok'n deal. Happy painting!

Didn't look this good unless the car was never driven! I think I'll just display it in my office for a while and make everybody who comes in to talk, listen to the same story over and over about how lucky I was to get it. I love doing the old man thing where you tell the same the same thing over and over and see if they call you on it.

See kids, being the boss has more perks than just not having to call in sick.

I think Billy has been breathing too many fumes.

He's doing the "Old man thing "again. Trying to see how long he can call it the wrong thing till someone corrects him. Don't let on we know and he will stop. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)

I guess that's better than an "NOS attic in my rear" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif)
