Yep... Imagine my surprise to see 914's in the gas station! It was great to meet some (new to me) teeners. We in the Ozark Region just had our biggest charity event yesterday. Lot's of local vendors and many Porschephyles of all car types. Naturally there weren't enough 914's since they were all in OK! I hope everyone had a great time, and a safe one too. I'll make a BIG effort tp come to next years event. Maybe an Arkansas road trip? See ya'll ~Ron OK Ron - When was the last time you were at a 914 specific event that was NOT in Arkansas? Get off your bottom and join us... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Howdy Thom (et al)! Glad this site is back up. I was hoping to get a report that all was well, nobody hit a deer and I think it was an OK Ramble the last time but I've slept since then! I've gotta get back into the 914 event groove. Penelope is still percolatin' and will enjoy a new LSD tranny I'm assembling as we speak. Should finish it this coming week barring unforseen circumstances. Hope all is well with you and the family. |

Caption this image of Avery fixing his shift linkage on Sunday.... You know, that's probably where I picked up that tick. It was on my left elbow. Just curious...does your e brake not work? Keep seeing a rock used as a chock for your car... |

Just curious...does your e brake not work? Keep seeing a rock used as a chock for your car... No, it does not. For some reason, the sprocket looking piece that bolts to the drivers side longeron and provides the locking mechanism for the e-brake is gone. Has been as long as I've owned it. The cable is connected and works, but it won't hold tension at all. Anybody got an extra one for sale? It's normally not a problem, since the compression on that 3.6 will hold it just fine. But in this picture, my shift linkage has come loose and the car is stuck in neutral, so engine compression is useless. Plus, this is in the mountains, so rocks like that are everywhere. I don't carry a parking rock in the car. I've got Boxster brakes in the garage I'm about to swap onto it, so I'll loose the e-brake soon anyways. Until I can hook up a 911 style system. |

Kinda stinks. However 5 of us (well, 5 drivers and Clay) ran it again on Sunday morning on the way home. Definately the long way home, but definately worth it. The weather was beautiful. I've got a little video of that, but I need to trim it some. I'll post it tomorrow night. What happened to the Sunday video? |

And a video of the Sunday drive after everybody got their cars fixed. Thanks, A..... That was right after I crawled out from under my car. I did not even really enjoy the "Esses" because I really did not trust my steering yet (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif) Looking forward to the next time! KP |

It sure looks slow in the video, but I kept looking in the rear view mirror at Betty and Clay getting smaller and smaller.
I'll see you at the MUSR I'm sure. |

You literally have TWICE the motor that she does.... It is no wonder you were leaving us behind! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Plus, Betty won't tuck up tight with anyone. She is paranoid about the whole tailgating thing. |

You literally have TWICE the motor that she does.... Yes, but she's twice the driver that I am, so that makes it even. It's the all the dead weight in her passenger seat that made the difference. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) Aww.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) Thanks for the compliment Avery! Every time we hit a straight or a steep uphill grade you just flew away from me like a fighter jet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) We were both in awe! I only managed to reel you back a little bit in the twisty bits. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) But you, young Paduan, have snatched the light saber, pebble, whatever, from my outstretched driving glove. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) I've been watching when you run at the autocrosses and you're doing great! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) As far as Clay.... I didn't make him squeak; so either he's getting more trusting, or I successfully toned it down because of his collar bone. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

It's the all the dead weight in her passenger seat that made the difference. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) No dead weight here.. I am the ride along mechanic. If I am there, the car knows it, and doesn't break........Unlike some Yellow 914-6s that I know.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) |
