I was hoping someone could point me at a 914 5 speed transmission drawing. I'd like at least the vertical dimension from the input shaft to the output shafts, and also the longitudinal distance from the bell housing surface to the output shafts.

I'd also be very greatful if you could include approximate overal dimensions.

Thank you much,
MK

would a bunch of pictures help? I have a trans on the shop floor that I can get some pics of tonight. I could hold a tape measure up to it for you.

It would help a lot. But could you please also take the time to make some reasonably accurate measurements for the dimensions i listed?

I'd also like to know the distance between the outside of the axel flanges (output shafts).

Please and thank you!

The exhaust fell off of my car... LOL (backfired while tuning the EFI and left my glass pack on the pavement) I ended up putting my exhaust back on instead of snapping some pics.

I'll drag it out when I get a chance this weekend. Friday got swamped, but Sat is open.

What's in that thing? I'm trying to mate an ls1 to the 914 trans in a tiny little tube chassis.

From my notes:

Overall length: 23-3/8" (case end to end, not inc. input shaft)
Overall width: 17-3/4" (@ mounting ears - think this is the widest part)
Bellhousing width: ~14"
Bellhousing face to output flange CL: 7-7/8" (horizontal dimension)
Input shaft CL to output flange CL: 2-9/16" (vertical dimension)
