I dont know why I still have this car..... ?
here is an honest little car that spent most of its time in the Washington & California climate. Therefore absolutely no rust that I could find. The car was very well maintained by its previous owners and is in excellent condition as we speak. there has add a partial respray some time ago and the paint still shines and present very well. Altough there is a few rock chips in the front but nothing dramatic. The color is original Bahia red . The engine is a 2 liter period correct with a desirable GA series and retained its original D Jetronic fuel injection. The engine pulls very strong and do not smoke or burn any oil. The transmission is also the desirable side shift 5 speed and shifts very well throughout all gears. Interior is flawless , nice carpets, nice dash , nice seat, no tears, all gauges work , the only thing not original is the radio but I have an original unit I can throw into the deal. Targa top is in excellent condition so is all the glass and trims. Doors shut with the nice ``clunk`` that we like . And all gaps line up nicely. Calipers have been refurbished, heat exchangers and muffler are like new, both chromed rear and front bumpers do not show a trace of pitting or dents Only thing not working is the windshield washer mechanism which uses the pressure from the spare front tire. ( I think there is probably an air leak ( to be investigated) Things done since my ownership ; 5 lugs wheel conversion & 911 front suspension . ( see new pictures at the bottom ) New front ball joints, New front Bilstein strut inserts, New rear rotors & hubs, 5 lugs 6 x 15 Fuchs wheels, 5 new tires barely used new fuel injectors, new rear shocks yellow bilsteins with 140 lbs springs wich make the car handle like a champ on twisty roads. added center console gauges ( voltmeter and oil temp ) I also have a working clock but not installed. New battery, Momo protopipo steering wheel ( but I kept the original if you want to replaced ) Added exterior mirror on the passenger side to have that sporty look and a more secure side vision . And finally a 914-6 chrome exhaust tip . So here you have it . Asking $ 19000 USD . lots of pictures available...! here is a link to the original for sale thread from when I bought the car ,,,,,,,, lots of positive comments ! http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...=230780&hl= Attached thumbnail(s) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Amazing that no one bought this car when you posted it for sale before and even after your upgrades. 19,000 is a very fair price even without the original engine. What is the process for buying a car in Canada and bringing into the USA ?
Are there additional fees that must be paid ??? Thanks, I hope it goes to a good home. |

Cars been 4-sale now going on two years, please someone overseas buy this car. |

There arent any good used 914 over in Europe ??? You would save all these additionnal cost !! cheers Francois Hi Francois, 90 % are usa imports in the lower price range (read : a lot of work needed). The good ones are for sale at astonishing prices (mostly cardealers who think they can set high price as the car has a Porsche badge) Ofcourse I keep monitoring here in Europe as well. Checked on a Euro spec car last week which was nearly perfect (rebuilt engine, gearbox, electrics, clutch, new floorpan and longs etc) but then I noticed this .... ![]() GRRRRR... thinks something went wrong replacing the longs. Once again, love your car very much and if I were closer and didn't have the additional cost I would jump right in. To make it worth for me I need (slightly) lower purchaseprice (and most probably a car not as good as yours....) keeping some extra cash aside for unexpected issues... krgds Dax |
