Do these leak any less than the stock sump cover? Any special consideration need to be done when installing or extra gaskets required? Typically the stock sump cover isnt an area I see a lot of leaking. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Unless of course your sump mount boss had been over torqued & isnt holding? The cap nut seal is the only other area I can see leaking, it is replaced with an tapered female bolt. No extra gaskets or special prep is necessary unless you plan on running it with the screen. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) @914werke Getting ready to install but had a couple questions: 1. Is there any added benefit to running the screen with the extend sump? 2. If the screen is used can I use an RTV to connect or should it be tack welded or soldered instead? |
