Did you identify a hotel for the 9/14 weekend? Spoke with Kelty360 (Marc) yesterday. Hopefully he'll start a thread for the event. Thought is open invite, Friday Saturday and Sunday. Folks can attend any combo of day(s) that works for them. I just booked Friday and Saturday nights where the event will be: https://www.oldalcoholplant.com/ So Michelle and I will be there for sure! I'll ping Marc again, get a thread started. He had some fun ideas for all three days. |

Just spoke with Marc again, he'll start an official thread.
In the meantime, if you want to go, get that room booked! If part of your journey will use a Ferry: Coming up from the South: Seattle - Bainbridge Coming down from the North (Need a reservation): Coupeville - Port Townsend Marc has details on events including a couple of fun drives and maybe even dinner on a beach! Get those rooms booked! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

SORRY TO SAY, BUT FOR A VARIETY OF REASONS, THIS EVENT HAS TO BE CANCELLED.
My apologies to anyone inconvenienced by this. I've also posted the cancellation in the Worldwide 914 Day - PNW thread, so I hope there isn't any confusion. Hey guys, I’m toying with the idea of staging a small, low key weekend gathering of 914s around Pt Townsend later this year. Thinking 10-15 cars for drives, parking lot talk, and bbq or something like it. There are some fun roads up here and we haven’t got together for quite awhile. Right now I’m looking for feedback of who might be interested. Very preliminary. Sounds like there’s some interest, so I’ll continue to look at the possibilities. I’m thinking the weekend of 9/14/24 would be ideal. September weather is great up here and it’s after Labor Day so most of the tourists will be gone, leaving us some nice driving. It will also be just after the 10th anniversary of Nord’s passing so we could commemorate that too. I’ll start a separate thread when there’s more info. Are people still interested? Given the remoteness of Pt. Townsend, we can gather Friday evening, 9/13, for a catered Mexican dinner at the beach at my place. I'm buying, except for adult beverages. Saturday we explore the roads around PT with a stopover for lunch at the Goeduck on Hood Canal and later, dinner at the Old Alcohol Plant in Pt. Hadlock. Sunday morning, some of us can head to the nearby town of Nord for ice cream and a remembrance of our buddy Nord. That's the bare bones of the weekend, I'll supply details later. First I'd like to get an idea of who's interested. LMK |

BUMMER! Sorry to hear, Marc. Hope everything is okay on your end.
For anyone interested, there is PCA autocross on the 14th. Usually a couple 914's there, but it would be cool to see more even if just for one event. Preregistration is required, and is done on two different websites. MSR Registration Scorekeeper Registration |
